Shanna Bass is a Special Education teacher at Alexandria Monroe High School, who works with a variety of students with disabilities to teach them self-advocacy skills and be successful in the general education classroom.



Shanna believes that all students can be successful when provided the correct learning tools. This can be seen through her students’ ability to show growth in the area of Mathematics on state and local tests.

Shanna has worked with Alexandria Monroe Community Schools and Richmond Community Schools for a total of 16 years.

Shanna holds a Bachelor's Degree in Special Education: Mild Interventions with an endorsement in Computer Science and a Master’s Degree in Special Education with a minor in Severe Emotional Disabilities from Ball State University.

Recently, Shanna became an EdPuzzle Coach and worked on the MasterySchool: Junior High Mathematics for EdPuzzle.
